When we do see it, it's wrapped up all neat and tidy with a big red bow on it...just like how we buy our meat. It's all neat and tidy in a clean white styrofoam tray..no blood no guts, no gore.. Most people here could never slaughter their own meat..if it wasn't provided to us so neat and tidy, most of us would become vegans for sure.<br />Most other cultures involve the family in the death process. Many countries allow the family to tend to, clean and handle the burial/creamation of their loved ones...not us..oh no..we don't want to get our hands dirty. that is why so many people slow down to stop and look at a car wreck with a fatality..it is kept from us so we are curious to see. On our nightly news..if there is a bomb or a plane crash..we see NONE of the reality of that...no pictures are allowed that show any limbs or missing body parts. It's as if magically all the human bodies were swept up and away from the plane wreck and all that is left is mangled machinery. We have become so spoiled, and so entitled and "soft" when it comes to the realities of life...I think the people of Thailand have a much better understanding of how life works and what the reality of life is...and death. great story karl. thanks for sharing.Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03008067168475384273noreply@blogger.com
